The creative owner of this bathroom comes from a family of famous artists, so it was only fitting that the brief for her new bathroom was to be a colourful design that would brighten up the dreariest of winter mornings. The property is part of a period mansion block in the heart of Richmond so the compact bathroom needed its designers, husband and wife team Sophie and Neil Harrold of Simply Bathrooms, to make good use of every inch. “While the space was limited, our choice of tiles most certainly wasn’t,” says Sophie. “The differentiating scale and pattern add interest at every turn. We used the Bazaar Ceramic printed tile in white for the shower walls and the incredible terrazzo porcelain Pisa hexagon in teal for the floor. Both were simply perfect for an artist’s residence.”
