Wiltshire Hares by Joanna May

Wiltshire artisan Joanna May is behind this collection of hand-fired ceramic hare miniatures, each one captured mid-pose, playful and slightly different from the last, a variation that comes naturally from a piece shaped and fired by hand rather than pressed from a single mould.

Their traditional, farmhouse character calls back to the rolling hills and grassland the hares themselves would call home, and a satin finish adds a further layer of tactile warmth to each piece. Rather than standing alone, they're designed to sit alongside a plain field tile, ideally the Nuance Ceramic, whose base tone has been closely matched for a considered, unified look.

Used sparingly across a splashback or feature wall, our hares bring a storytelling touch to a room, the sort of detail that turns a functional surface into something with a little more personality behind it.
