Traditional Tiles

Across our collection, "traditional" covers two different materials and several different patterns rather than one fixed look. Natural stone spans a tumbling process, an antique finish, a weathered face, and a random flagstone lay, while porcelain versions carry that same worn texture built into the mould itself.

Pattern-wise it runs from metro tiles and classic Victorian layouts through to checkerboard, octagon and hexagon designs finished with cabochons, a detail more associated with a country house hallway than a new build. A number of the porcelain options are taken directly from an original antique flagstone, so the pattern itself is authentic even where the material is reproduced.

For projects wanting the original material rather than a version of it, our collection also includes stone and terracotta reclaimed outright, lifted from old house floors and paving, or brought back from French chateaus and cleaned for reuse. Whichever surface it ends up on, floor or wall, the aim stays the same: the lived-in, well-established look found throughout the Cotswolds and the English country house, built up over generations rather than installed last year.
