Rustic Wall Tiles
Our rustic wall tiles are about what happens when light hits them. An uneven glaze, a slightly bowed face, and colour that pools a little differently from one tile to the next give a flat wall sudden depth. It's the difference between a splashback that disappears and one people notice.
They sit beautifully next to lime plaster and other soft, matt wall finishes, the plaster giving a quiet, chalky backdrop while the tile provides the movement, together making a room feel earthy rather than bare. Handmade and handmade-look ceramics are the natural starting point here, where variation in glaze and shade is part of the material rather than a flaw.
Tumbled marble and limestone bring the same rustic character to walls, and being lighter to handle than a floor tile, they open up formats and mosaics that would be impractical underfoot. Brick and zellige-style shapes laid in a stack or staggered bond suit these schemes especially well.
