Fluted Tiles

Fluting brings a design-led sense of depth and texture, working just as well against a kitchen splashback as it does across a bathroom wall. Even in settings where the ridges aren't the most obvious feature at first glance, they add a tactile quality that changes how the surface catches light.

The linear grooves do useful visual work too. Laid to draw the eye upward, fluted tiles can make a room feel taller; run horizontally along a wall, the same lines shift the emphasis to width instead. It's a format that lets the lay of the tile do as much design work as the material itself.
