Where Art Meets Light

Interior Designer, Sophie Bland of Sixty London Road Interiors, has been lovingly updating her family home, whilst busy working on clients’ projects. The imposing manor house had an existing conservatory, which did not run the entire length of the property, so working with Vale Garden Houses, a beautiful, larger Orangery was designed to extend and complement the rear elevation of the property.
No stranger to the local Ca' Pietra showroom in Hartley Wintney, Sophie’s brief was for light stone that would add texture and interest to the large floor area. The pale Buscot Velvet was chosen to complement the dark paint of the woodwork and create a stunning backdrop for Sophie’s vibrant rugs and artwork. She especially loved the parquet format and the suggestion to run a border in the same stone, creating a neat junction to the Crittall doors of the adjacent piano room. An indulgent bar in the Orangery has a touch of elegance with the Rococo Brass tiles.
