Amira Hashish, founder of creative and interiors studio Rapport is all about designing a home that’s personal to you. One which is full of stories and adventures, bringing character to your space with a mix of antique finds and raw, authentic materials. As editor in chief of lifestyle magazine Neighbourhood Edit, Amira contributes to a wide range of global publications with travel always on the agenda. That’s why, when it came to her own new kitchen extension, she was keen to capture the Mediterranean spirit and feel like she’s basking on the Amalfi Coast whenever she’s sipping coffee in her new surroundings.
For her new kitchen, Amira wanted to tie in the rustic feel of the antiques she was sourcing with the floor and walls. Our Marlborough Terracotta Parquet ticks all the boxes with its peachy tones. Once laid, the tiles perfectly complemented the raw plaster walls so Amira kept the unfinished look then added a marble worksurface and peachy coloured sofa to bring the soft tones together.
