In this scheme, designed by @simplybathroomsltd, our Long Island Marble in a tumbled finish is paired with our Kendal Marble, also in a tumbled finish, to create a monochrome chequerboard pattern that looks stunning in this classic shower room design.
The floor tiles are laid throughout, including within the large walk-in shower area, to achieve a seamless and continuous look and feel that maximises a feeling of space. Marble is a great material for bathroom floors, as it’s highly durable, hardwearing and an excellent insulator, so it feels warm and comfortable underfoot. It can also be teamed with underfloor heating for added comfort, ideal for bathrooms with limited wall space for an additional radiator.
With the addition of traditional shower fittings and a freestanding vanity unit, the overall effect is one of classic style with a modern edge. Fresh, warm and inviting, it’s a lovely space for overnight guests to feel right at home.
