Wood Effect Tiles
There's a simple case for our wood effect tiles: certain rooms want the look of a timber floor but won't tolerate timber itself, and porcelain will. Bathrooms, wet rooms, kitchens, boot rooms and utility rooms all suit a wood look that never swells, cups, stains or scratches, and takes underfloor heating far better than timber ever could.
The best ranges carry a wide spread of faces so the same knot and grain don't keep reappearing across a floor, printed and textured in register so the surface underfoot matches what the eye sees. Tones run from pale, whitewashed oaks through warm honey and mid browns to smoked and dark walnut, with reclaimed and driftwood looks bringing more colour movement plank to plank.
Herringbone, chevron, basketweave and Versailles panel layouts all give a parquet floor that timber struggles to achieve in a bathroom, while planks stacked vertically on a wall make a low room feel taller. Paired with white walls or marble, it brings warmth to a scheme that might otherwise feel clinical.
