Square Wall Tiles

A wall is where a tiled grid gets studied up close, at eye level, in a way a floor rarely is, and it's the shape most people still picture when asked to describe a tiled wall. Set straight up a wall, its repeat is measured and calm; it's also why our square wall tiles are having a moment across walls of every scale.

Because a wall sits at eye level, small decisions carry more weight there. Swapping the grout's tone against a plain square tile can change the whole character of that surface on its own, and the format itself takes well to variation: a wall can carry squares straight up to a marked line, then rotate onto the diagonal with each tile split into triangles, building a feature panel behind a basin, a fire, or a run of shelving.

Tile size has its say here too, with a larger format keeping a wall feeling open, while a tighter, smaller-format square brings extra grid definition to a compact space, and joint width can be tightened for a sharp, contemporary finish or opened out for something with more rustic texture.
