Room To Escape
For Sophie Walwyn-James (@sophie_in_london) and her husband, renovating the loft of their South West London home gave them the relaxing retreat they needed. With two young children and busy lifestyles, the couple were keen to create an ensuite bathroom with separate bath and walk-in shower complete with the right tiling to complement. Our Parisian Café Tri Dove porcelain was used for the floor with Long Island honed marble for the walls and splashback. “I wanted the bathroom to feel like a sophisticated, luxurious and grown-up space for relaxing in at the end of the day,” explains Sophie. “I also wanted the bathroom to fit with the rest of our house, which we are gradually renovating. It was important to me that the tiles I chose reflected this, and also have longevity.”

For the family who live in a 1926 Mock-Tudor semi in North London, transforming what was once an all-black bathroom into a warm, light and cosy space was key to making it both stylish and child-friendly.
When husband and wife design team Sophie and Neil Harrold of Simply Bathrooms took on this project for a young couple in Surbiton, Surrey, the brief was to change an old-fashioned shower-over-bath design into something altogether larger and more comfortable.
