For content creator @josieldn, who lives in a 16th Century Cotswold thatched cottage (@strawtopcottage), transforming a compact bathroom into a statement wet room needed the right tiles with instant impact. “Before our transformation, the bathroom was very simple with grey subway tiles and mismatched bathroom furniture, which didn’t quite work with the room.,” she says. “As it’s an ultra-small bathroom, we wanted to create a major wow moment upon opening the door, so we chose these beautiful National Trust Woodland Glade tiles.”
The National Trust Tile Collection by Sarsen Stone Group is an original tile collection inspired by the properties, gardens, coastlines and countryside that are cared for by the National Trust. Woodland Glade wall and floor tiles come in nine different patterns and a tonal, nature-themed palette that is ultra-practical in a matt finish porcelain.
“As this bathroom is a wet room,” adds Josie, “and a very small one at that, we wanted our guests at the cottage to walk in and say, wow! Without creating this exciting visual impact, we were concerned that guests might be underwhelmed because of the size of the bathroom, so we decided to go bold!”
Additional elements that complement the tiles include brushed brass fittings from Crosswater and toiletries from 100 Acres. Josie is over the moon with the results, “I would absolutely recommend these tiles and I would advise others to not be afraid to go bold with tiles in a small bathroom. In fact, I’d highly recommend it!”
