A stunning family kitchen full of personality, art and splashes of bold colour, this large open-plan layout was the perfect setting for Ca’ Pietra’s Riverside Porcelain Gris tiles, which were chosen for the flooring of this lovely light-filled space.
Its artist owner has a love of light and nature and she uses this both within her home and her artwork, which adorns the walls adding contrast and creativity to the otherwise white and neutral scheme. The kitchen itself is a busy, hardworking hub of the home, which makes the selection of the satin-finish porcelain tiles such a successful one.
Part of the HOUSE collection of affordable porcelain and ceramic tiles from Ca’ Pietra, the Riverside tiles produce a rich, creamy limestone effect underfoot that enriches the scheme with warming overtones to complement the warmth of the wooden worksurfaces, bar stools, larder cupboard and dining table. Offering luxury without limits, the HOUSE collection also comes in large formats to create maximum impact while enhancing a sense of space.
As well as looking the part with its natural stone effect, Riverside Porcelain Gris is also extremely easy to care for and hardwearing, too. The owner originally considered wood as a flooring option but with timber flooring throughout the rest of the house, she decided to mix up the textures and introduce a stone style instead. With underfloor heating mats beneath to prevent cold spots and give the room an overall cosy feel, the porcelain tiling is the perfect complement to the Neptune Henley white painted wooden cabinetry and its durability is tested on a daily basis thanks to children who do everything from roller skating to Nerf wars within the kitchen space. And the floor hasn’t shown a single sign of wear and tear!
