Renovation story

When designing a bathroom for a period home, choosing fixtures and fittings that are in keeping with the age and style of the property creates an authentic look and feel, which can be updated with modern touches here and there. This 1850s Cheshire family home is being lovingly renovated room by room and doubles as a shoot location too - @overdale_house.

For the flooring, owner and digital creator Yasamin chose our Rialto Terrazzo Laguna Honed tiles, which are inspired by the terrazzo-filled buildings of Venice and are made from recycled and waste marble materials for a sustainable choice that looks stunning as the backdrop for this Victorian-style scheme.

Letting the soft green terrazzo flooring take centre stage, the walls are tiled floor to ceiling with our Tunstall Ceramic Square Deep White tiles and feature our Victorian Style Wall Ceramic Olive Green Dado Crackle Glaze tiles at the top, Avebury Ceramic Burnt Caramel as two borders around the middle and Fondant Ceramic Blue for the bottom. The result is a clever mix of colours and styles that complements its surroundings beautifully.
