Home comforts

They say all good things come to those who wait. This was certainly the case for the owners of this four-storey west London townhouse, who waited 14 long months for the renovation of their dream home to be complete. It was definitely worth the wait and they are over the moon with how interior designer Jojo Barr of @houseninedesign brought their ideas to life.

Each room was to have its own personality but still flow effortlessly from one to another. This was achieved by maintaining a cohesive colour palette throughout. Homely and comforting, practical and beautiful with a Mediterranean feel and architectural archways inviting you to step through from one space to the next.

The kitchen, with its honed marble countertops and soft limewash walls, features a generously sized curved island at its centre with bespoke bar stools for guests to sit and chat.

The couple always wanted a huge kitchen with a big island as the heart of their home and to bring the look together, they selected our Buscot Limestone Tumbled & Etched Finish 60cm x random tiles for the open-plan kitchen and our Buscot Tumbled & Etched 20cm x 20cm tiles cut to cabochons for the walk-in pantry. The tiles were chosen for these areas where durability and character were key.

In the utility room with its matching neutral painted timber cabinetry, the owners chose our Marlborough Terracotta Square tiles with bespoke Maroc Porcelain Bianco cabochons to enhance the Victorian scullery feel

Warm, welcoming and full of textures, layers and love, the renovated interior is now the perfect space for hosting at home as well as cosying up for when rest and relaxation are on the menu.
