When the owners of this Oxfordshire Georgian farmhouse moved in, their first task was to modernise the interior and add their own style throughout. This included revamping the master ensuite, creating separate zones for the bath, shower and vanity unit, while tying them together aesthetically for a fully cohesive look.
Designed by luxury bathroom brand Ripples, the unifying element of the new space is our Marlborough Terracotta Parquet, a herringbone brick tile used for the flooring, which helps to ground the bathroom with its warm and earthy tones.
The terracotta flooring is rustic enough for the farmhouse look while also adding a tactile element underfoot as well as extra visual impact thanks to its parquet laying pattern. The natural variations in colour work beautifully with the rest of the scheme to make this ensuite space warm and inviting both day and night.
In the shower area, the walls are clad entirely with our Zellige-style Maroc Porcelain tiles in Bianco. These square tiles are also used behind the vanity unit and freestanding hand painted bath, creating a sophisticated backdrop that shines subtly as it reflects in the sun, enhancing the feeling of light and space.
Modern fittings such as the wall-mounted polished chrome bath mixer, rainfall showerhead and white steel shower tray balance out the traditional feel of the rest of the scheme, creating a beautiful space to wake up to every day.
