Ca’ Pietra has expanded its National Trust tile collection with two new additions, Abbey and Lacock, both shaped by the character of historic British interiors and designed to translate that familiarity into contemporary homes. The wider collection draws on places cared for by the National Trust, referencing materials, layouts and colours traditionally found in hardworking domestic spaces such as kitchens, pantries and bathrooms.
Abbey
Named after Lacock Abbey in north Wiltshire, Abbey is a porcelain range built around smaller formats that recreate the softened feel of aged stone floors. A subtly textured surface and replicated tumbled edges give the tiles a worn appearance without the maintenance requirements of natural material, making them suitable for everyday spaces where durability matters as much as atmosphere.
The range is designed to be laid in more than one way. Square tiles in Dove and Ivory can be used individually or paired to create a gentle chequerboard, while the slim brick format forms a parquet layout that introduces pattern through structure rather than contrast. The restrained palette keeps the overall effect calm, allowing the floor to read as part of the architecture rather than decoration applied on top.
Abbey is suitable for internal walls and floors and does not require sealing.
Lacock
Lacock Limestone Tumbled offers a natural alternative within the collection, described as a softer, less antique interpretation of a heritage finish. The tumbling process eases the edges and emphasises the stone’s fossil markings, creating a surface that feels settled rather than newly installed.
Presented in a soft beige tone, the limestone is available in a large square format and in a random flagstone layout that produces a more relaxed rhythm across the floor. It is suitable for internal walls and floors and requires sealing as part of installation and ongoing care.
