When designing the perfect bathroom or ensuite, one of the first considerations is ideally the tiles, for both walls and floor. By choosing the material, colour, finish and shape at the start of your project, you create a backdrop of style, palette and overall feeling which you can then add your sanitaryware, fixtures and fittings onto.
For @simplybathroomsltd, designing six bathrooms within a stunning Surrey Hills property gave them the scope to choose all their Ca’ Pietra favourites!
In the main bathroom, which has a classically traditional feel with its freestanding curved vanity unit, tranquil colour scheme and roll-top tub, our Enki Limestone Parquet in a Velvet Finish was the perfect start for the flooring. The parquet pattern has a wonderfully authentic period look with a rustic feel and it creates instant impact when you enter the room.
For the walls, Simply Bathrooms selected our Long Island Marble collection in a Honed Finish. Combing the 61 x 40.6 tiles with our Long Island Marble Brick Honed Finish, Long Island Marble Skirting Honed Finish and Long Island Marble Dado Honed Finish shows how you can achieve a fully co-ordinated scheme with our range of matching skirting and dado tiles. The result is a tranquil and elegant space with a luxurious finish.
In the long and narrow bathroom, creating a wider visual impression was key. This began with the introduction of our Deck Chair Porcelain Sage tiles for the floor. By laying the tiles with the stripes leading towards the window at the end, the eye is drawn down the length of the space, making it feel instantly larger. Positioning the slipper bath widthways is also a clever design trick, with the bonus of a stunning view whilst bathing.
The cloakroom is no less interesting with its busy patterned and painted panelled walls, anchored by the natural beauty of our Cotehele Porcelain Beige tiles. These 40 x 60cm tiles enhance the classic feel of this compact space while adding warmth and a neutral look to balance it all out.
There’s plenty of warmth to be found in the family bathroom, too. With its blush pink and rose tones, this space is calm and characterful, perfect for relaxing in after a long day. The shower is fully clad with our charming Dyrham Dairy Ceramic Oak Leaf Corner tiles while the shower niche and bath splashback feature our Dyrham Dairy Ceramic Décor tiles to tie the scheme together.
Our Brit Stone Minster Porcelain and Brit Stone Burford Porcelain tiles have been used to create a large format chequerboard floor in a further bathroom, while our Seaton Ceramic rectangular tiles create pale and iridescent feature walls in the shower area. A lovely fresh and light scheme that gives summer vibes all year round.
For the vibrant shower room with its bold red freestanding basin vanity, our Bamboo Porcelain Mosaic Blush tiles create a feature area of the walk-in shower while our Long Island Marble Small Hexagon Mosaic adds a contrasting look underfoot that enhances the mix of materials, colours and shapes.
