Explore the Instagram kitchens we adore most, featuring Lily Pad…
Lily Pad in Custard is just so bright and chirpy, which is why it works so well in kitchens. It’s got that real feel-good element about it, and is just the wake up call we all need when making our morning coffee and wiping the sleep from our eyes. @frenchlottie’s kitchen is just the perfect ray of sunshine. Using Lily Pad Custard as a splash back, matched with a gorgeous blush pink wall paint, blue cabinetry and natural wooden floor, it’s a daring combination that has worked out perfectly.
Speaking of daring, @nadsbadspad kitchen really is just that, and we ADORE it! Located in London, @nadsbadspad terraced Edwardian home is not short on colour and uplifting vibes. Within the renovated open planned kitchen you will find shades of pink, blue, black, white, grey, natural wood and marble to name a few, but that’s what adds to the charm. The use of pattern is what really draws your eye here. On the wall, Lily Pad in Off Black features with its raw edges exposed contrasting against blue patterned wall paper. It really is the perfect entertaining space with many conversation pieces.
Patterned tiles are not just for large open planned spaces and most definitely have their place on floors too, just as @sophia.at.home has proven. The use of Lily Pad in Cloud draws attention to her galley style kitchen floor, creating an elongating effect. We love the use of darker paint on the skirting boards, creating a framed effect against the contracting light grey of the floor tiles. You’ll often see Sophia’s beautiful fox red lab, Bode featuring on her feed, and that’s what makes Lily Pad porcelain the perfect selection. Highly durable and easy to clean, it works particularly well in busy households.
If you have more of a traditionally styled home, but want to add pops of colour and pattern, take a look at @welcome_to_the_arnolds use of Lily Pad. Featured as a splashback, we love how the kitchen hob is set back slightly within a small alcove, paired wonderfully with gorgeous lighting and Lily Pad tiles. The soft shade used here suits this space perfectly, adding just a hint of delicate and sophisticated colour to a traditional kitchen. Recreate the look with Lily Pad in Pistachio or Plaster.
@the_girl_with_the_green_sofa’s 2020 lockdown kitchen DIY shows what can be achieved with a bit of elbow grease (and copious amounts of strong tea). We particularly love the custom panelling she created on her island, a wonderfully inventive idea to create texture to an otherwise plain unit end. Nicola’s kitchen just feels so homely and well thought out. From the Lily Pad splashback to natural wooden counter tops, there’s something so welcoming about this space and can most definitely picture entertaining here.
