Course Overview:
Natural stone has been used for centuries within our buildings, in their structure, interiors and exteriors.
The Art of Specifying Natural Stone will guide you through the qualities and varieties of natural stone as well as its suitability for project application.
Learning Outcomes:
To learn the basic geology and mineral make-up of the stone varieties most commonly used in architecture and design.
To understand which varieties of stone are suitable for various applications.
To recognise what to look out for when specifying natural stone
How to troubleshoot the various issues that can occur with stone.

Our Retailer Event Days are a chance to step inside the world of Ca’ Pietra and connect with the people, products and ideas that bring it to life.
Expect a behind-the-scenes tour of our space, a first look at what’s new and next in our collections, and a hands-on moodboarding workshop. We’ll talk through our bespoke services, open the floor to feedback, and invite you to share what would help us support you better. And, of course, it’s an opportunity to meet the passionate team behind the brand, the people who care just as much as you do about creativity, quality, and collaboration.
